A Leaf in the Wind
for soprano, horn, and bassoon

I composed A Leaf in the Wind during my time at Longy School of Music of Bard College’s 2023 Divergent Studio. In this piece, I aim to paint the path of a windblown leaf with the brushstrokes of a breath and whisper.
Premiered on June 20, 2023 by Cailin Smith (soprano), Trent Ice (horn), and Bryce Richardson (bassoon) at Edward M. Pickman Concert Hall, Longy School of Music of Bard College, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
